A teacher from Primary School asks her students to write an essay about what they would like God to do for them…
At the end of the day while marking the essays, she read one that made her very emotional.
Her husband, who had just walked in saw her crying and asked her: What happened?
She answered “Read this. It’s one of my student’s essay”
“Oh God, tonight I ask you something very special: Make me into a television.
I want to take its place. Live like the TV in my house.
Have my own special place, And have my family around ME.
To be taken seriously when I talk….
I want to be the centre of attention and be heard without interruptions or questions.
I want to receive the same special care that the TV receives when it is not working.
Have the company of my dad when he arrives home from work, even when he is tired.
And I want my mom to want me when she is sad and upset, instead of ignoring me… And…
I want my brothers to fight to be with me…
I want to feel that family just leaves everything aside, every now and then, just to spend some time with me.
And last but not least make it that I can make them all happy and entertain them…
Lord I don’t ask you for much…
I just want to live like every TV set.
At that moment the husband said: ‘My God, poor kid. What horrible parents!
She looked up at him and said: ‘That essay is our son’s!!!
One day a woman’s husband died, and on that clear, cold morning, in the
warmth of their bedroom, the wife was struck with the pain of learning that
sometimes there isn’t “anymore”. No more hugs, no more special moments to
celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, no more “just one
minute.” Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all used up and goes
away, never to return before we can say good-bye, say “I love you.”

A young couple moves into a new neighborhood. The next morning, while they are eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hang the wash outside.
That laundry is not very clean, she said, she doesn’t know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap.
Her husband looked on, but remained silent. Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments.
About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband: “Look! She has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this.”
The husband said: “I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows!”
And so it is with life: “What we see when watching others depends on the purity of the window through which we look. Before we give any criticism, it might be a good idea to check our state of mind and ask ourselves if we are ready to see the good rather than to be looking for something in the person we are about to judge. “
USED vs. LOVED
While a man was polishing his new car,
his 4 yr old son picked up a stone
and scratched lines on the side of the car.
In anger, the man took the child’s hand
and hit it many times not realizing
he was using a wrench.
